India AFC Cup possible Playing XI, Formation, Tactics : Complete Analysis

As the countdown already began for AFC Asian cup 2019 UAE lets take a look where our India is standing and what are the chances of India to qualify in knock out stage.

India probably go out with the Formation of 4-2-3-1 or dare I say that is the most suitable formation for Indian squad in AFC 2019.

Let's take a look at the playing XI and player choices.

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu : Undoubtedly the no 1 choice and probably the second best performer for India after Sunil Chhetri having the experience in European circuit Gurpreet already develop a sharp Football brain, his presence under the goal always give steadiness to the Indian Defense line. His vision and on field direction helps the team operate and maintain the shape against every opponent. Not to mention his goalkeeping ability. Although, Amrinder gave tough competition to Gurpreet as both of them in awesome form in ISL but Gurpreet is little ahead just because of his experience and vision.

Sandesh Jhingan :
The great wall of Indian defense recently in awesome form in Indian jersey and specially against China we have all saw how he had handled the pressure from Chinese top level attacker. Very much physical always with his strong presence on the pitch good with head and tackle and his never say die attitude give motivation to the entire team. He was also awarded captain arm band recently a true leader of Indian Defense.

Nayaran Das :  Not in a great form for his ISL Franchise but still had a good reputation with Indian squad. A hard tackler and good distributor of the ball always having high percentage of touches and passes on the field a good and stable pair with Sandesh.

Pritam Kotal : Probably the best full back in India. Good individual skills, good speed, good ability of diagonal crosses and cross field passes little bit dodgy in defensive duties and sometime easy to beat guy but he is having good scoring ability in domestic circuit.

Subhasish Bose : Probably the best alround player in Indian squad played as a Full back as well as Central Defense and as a Defensive Midfielder in his career. Good ability of clean tackles in one is to one situation good speed may be little bit problem with his diagonal crosses but with good individual skill and ball distribution ability he also is in pick form in ISL for Mumbai.

Pronay Halder : Playing in Central midfield a box to box midfielder with a good physical presence. Very tough character on the pitch known for his tough tackle on the middle high percentage of ball clearances and interception in his career. Good goal scoring ability specially with long range effort good with the head and ball distribution. The most reliable person in Indian Midfield.

Rowlin Borges : The Xavi Hernandez of Indian midfield not sure Mr. Constantine would prefer him or not but very much suited the formation a true successor of Renedy Singh a box to box midfielder with lots of creativity good ball distribution and high percentage of touches and key passes is always his feature good with the head and good goal scoring ability currently in good form.

Anirudh Thapa : Best young talent of India so far only 20 years age with good attacking quality played as a attacking midfielder but also with a good interception percentage, good speed, not so good in the air but having good individual skill. Best suitable to the high pressing football. Currently not in a good form with his ISL franchise Chennaiyan FC but always dependable with Indian Squad. had a tough competition with Jackie Chand Singh as Jackie probably in his Form of life this season with FC Goa but I think Mr. Constantine probably will go for Anirudh simply because of his interception quality on middle of the park.

Jeje Lalpekhlua : The second best goal scorer of India after Sunil Chhetri in current Indian squad but presently in awful form with Chennaiyan FC and his lack of Form put his team in bottom of the table but having good track record with Indian squad and make a good combination with Sunil Chhetri both of them understand each other play very well and I think Constantine would opted for this combination to crack the opponent defense. Another choice would be Balwant Singh but he is too is in bad form and constantly out of position for his franchise ATK in ISL made him little bit frustrated because he was a to Center Forward and a perfect box striker probably will come if Jeje didn't succeed.

Udanta Singh : The warhorse fastest man in Indian squad a telepathic combination with Sunil Chhetri as both of them part and parcel of the success of their club Bengaluru FC.   With good individual skills, good quality diagonal crosses and high percentage of key passes. Previously he was not so good with his scoring ability as a winger but this year in ISL he did score some fantastic goals I thing all of India would expect Udanta to succeed in this AFC 2019. Because India probably play counter attacking football with solid in defense and use his pace to penetrate the opponent defense with fast and accurate passes so, lot to depend on his ability.

Sunil Chhetri : And finally the Talisman of India Football "The Captain Fantastico" Sunil Chhetri:-SC-11, currently on 2nd rank in top International Goal scorer currently playing list jointly with Leonel Messi yes you heard it right with Leonel Messi with 65 goals. Missing Indias last friendly fixture against Jordan in Amman due to injury but now he is back. He was also recently selected among top 28 footballers for best of Asia Award which include player like Heung Min Son of Tottenham and Korea RepublicMakoto Hasebe for Frankfurt and Japan etc. The whole India is behind their captain. Probably the best striker in Indian domestic league with comparison to all foreign and Indian players. He is prolific with freekick, good with head and distance shooting he has all that you need for a striker. The whole India's fortune will depend how he manages to score.

So the First XI of Indian football team will be look like this.

May be the selection of players attract the disagreement among the Indian Football fans where players like Soosairaj, Brandon Fernandez, CK Vineet,  Rahul Bheke not featuring in the squad. But I think Indian coach Mr. Stephen Constantine build a certain playing system and he rely on the players who already adopted to his method of playing. India will be good at their defense and high chances of draw their opponent to their half for most of the time and play counter attacking football. The India's group opponent like Thailand, UAE and Bahrain all looks superior but with the recent form of Indian Football we certainly hope and do believe that this Indian team has the potential to qualify for the Knock out stage.
